The key with the Dell Axim is that you need to create a working serial port to inteface with the DigiTraveler. One way is to get a CompactFlash Type II Serial Card. Many places have them, but here's a link to one:

Once you have a Serial Card, you will need a PDCDT-LAPTOP (see below) to connect to the DigiTraveler.

IMPORTANT! Many customers are finding issues with the DigiTraveler as purchased from Radio Shack. Here is the issue. The RJ11 pins in the serial connector inside the DigiTraveler are not properly bent in order to make a good connection with a 6-pin RJ11 cable. In order to remedy the problem, it is necessary to take a pair of tweezers, reach inside the RJ11 connector on the DigiTraveler, and bend the pins up. By doing so, it is possible to obtain a good cable connection.

You'll need the "for PDA" System from Radio Shack, Catalog Number 20-1601. That's because the 20-1601 comes with Mapping software for your Palm OS PDA, which you'll need.
